CEO - Tony Pope
Tony Pope has always been an individual who learns best by doing. He knows what a strong work ethic and can-do attitude will accomplish and how important it is to treat the customer right. Tony traces the origins of these values back to his grandfather and growing up on the family farm. He resolved that his company would respect each client by responding quickly and thoroughly to the concerns or questions they might have. He built his company on this basis, growing the 2-person operation into a multi-million dollar business.
Tony has been self-employed since the age of nineteen. He has twenty-two years experience in the construction industry, and for the past sixteen years has worked in landscaping. In 1994, he founded Countryside Landscaping and in 2005 merged with Greenlawn Landscape and Irrigation to form Ecoscape Solutions Group.
As owner of Countryside he received back to back recognition in the Business Journal as one of the “Fastest 50” growing companies in Charlotte in 2000 and 2001. In 2001, Tony was a finalist for the Metrolina Entrepreneurial Council Trailblazer Award and in 2007 was a finalist in the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year. Tony was ranked as one of Charlotte’s top 50 entrepreneurs in 2008 by Business Leader, Charlotte edition.
