The Circle @ Concord Mills - Case Study

Built by Crescent Resources, The Circle at Concord Mills is a unique development in the Charlotte area. It has been developed with foremost attention towards the environment while also providing a long list of amenities for its residents. The entire development is pursuing LEED certification and has also earned membership in the distinguished Audubon Society’s Signature Program. There are but a few dozen developments in the country that have earned this designation and The Circle at Concord Mills is the first multi-family development to have done so!

Ecoscape worked with the developer to use native plants for the landscaping and to install a highly efficient irrigation system. The Audubon designation required buffer plantings behind buildings adjacent to a natural wetlands area. Ecoscape recommended that our client negotiate with the local municipality on the types of trees and shrubs to be used. They realized a savings of over $16,000 while still meeting all the requirements for the designation. These savings allowed the client to make other upgrades to the development, highlighted by a dog park for residents and their pets.
